Monitors, reports and provides technical assistance
on the statewide recycling and waste reduction programs.
Regulates special wastes such as Waste Tires,
Batteries, Used Oil, Ash and Mercury Devices.
Administers Hazardous Waste Regulation/RCRA Subtitle
C including compliance, enforcement and permitting in conjunction
with District Offices.
Implements Solid Waste Management/RCRA Subtitle D
and provides technical assistance to District Offices on solid
waste permitting, compliance and enforcement activities.
Provides grants to local governments to help
implement their solid waste and recycling programs, local
hazardous waste collection centers and small quantity hazardous
waste generator notification programs.
