NAPLES – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s (DEP) Rookery
Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve (RB NERR) will hold a formal public meeting for input on
the site specific management plan draft for the RB NERR on Wednesday, December 8, 2010. To view a

RB NERR is managed by DEP’s Office of Coastal and Aquatic Managed Areas (CAMA). CAMA is
responsible for the management of Florida’s 41 Aquatic Preserves, three National Estuarine Research
Reserves (NERRs), the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the Coral Reef Conservation
Program. These protected areas comprise more than four million acres of the most valuable
submerged lands and select coastal uplands in Florida.
