Easy as One Collection Event at the Villages Government Day

~Residents encouraged recycle and learn easy ways to protect the environment~

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida Department of Environmental Protection, along with A Bag’s Life will host an Easy As One collection event on Saturday, November 6, 2010, during The Villages Government Day. DEP will collect paper to be shredded and recycled by Secure On-Site Shredding and retail plastic bags to be recycled by Sweetbay Supermarket.

The first 200 participants ‘caught in the act’ bringing 20 or more plastic bags for recycling will receive a reusable shopping bag courtesy of Sweetbay Supermarket. Those who bring paper for recycling will receive a day pass to any Florida State Park, while supplies last.

The collection will take place:

Saturday, November 6, 2010
10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
