Helping to Sustain and Improve Waterfront Communities Through Organization, Visualization, and Implementation of locally-based plans.
Waterfronts Florida Partnership, launched by the
Florida Coastal Management
Program in 1997,
helping to chart a new course for its participating
communities. The program was created to provide support,
training, innovative technical assistance, and limited
financial assistance to communities striving to revitalize
and renew interest in their waterfront district, areas which
have a tradition of water-dependent vitality.
The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) is the lead agency for the Waterfronts Florida Partnership (WFP). For more information on the WFP, please see the DEO web site.
